For sale: Dilambda part restored - loads of spares including 2 engines! chassis etc.
I believe the vendor wants 300,000 euros! 50-100k to finish to the present standard of work? Could face a long wait for a sale.

Not a bad price for a brace of Dilambdas I would think? I would be tempted to go down the Weymann route and cover in fabric. Dream on though I have nowhere near enough money!

R C Moss the Bentley restorers now manufacture period fabric for covering car bodies, it's called Rexine. However I bet it isn't cheap. http://www.vintagebentleys.com/services/rexine/

I use vinyl which is nearly as good and a lot cheaper! You cannot paint it like you can Rexine though. Boot's alter ego, Mike Benwell's Weymann saloon is still in its original Rexine I think.

Not listed any more. Has it been sold?

Idly wondering about Rexine, I found a site in India with various manufacturers selling it for £1-2 per meter (100-200 Rupees). Not sure about minimum quantities but that's cheap!

Having read the story of Moss' Rexine I suspect the Indian supplier may be using the name as a generic term for fabric backed vinyl.

Minimum order probaly 100metres too!
