My B10 has a very worn spindle on the starter motor and the auto electrician is struggling to find a replacement.
WOSP list them for Aurelias. BUT..... do all Aurelias have the same fixing dimensions?
It is an expensive mistakatomaka if not!
Answer please.
Brian
PS of course my Augusta one was only a bit oily and cleaned up well!!!

Have you tried Chris Gawne for s/h starter motor or indeed fitting dimensions?

I have a WOSP starter motor fitted in my B10 and am very happy with it. Good value and easier to fit than the originals (as per earlier posts on this subject). I think one starter motor fits all Aurelias but could be wrong about that.

I have just fitted a WOSP starter motor to my B20, and it is entirely satisfactory, straightforward if inaccessible fitting. The car starts instantly with no churning over.
I know Luke Wos personally and Wosp's products are used all over motor sport and small volume makers, GT and Le Mans cars.I would vouch for them and have developed products together with them for both Lambda (starter motors) and Aurelia (alternator with eccentric adjustment).
I would not hesitate to recommend

As far as I know the Aurelia starter motors are identical to Bosch starter motors

Wrong!
I was told that the 12v (B10) was the problem but when I went to pick up the overhauled 6v Augusta one, it was actually the 6v one that could not be sorted and the B10 was looking pristine!! So will be going back on.
WOSP onto Augusta next week or so.
I now have the battle to get the B10 one on......
