Hi all,
Here is a download link to the first version of a guide to Lancia suppliers etc in the UK (in PDF format) as discussed with some forum members!
www.lanciadealers.co.uk (http://www.lanciadealers.co.uk)
Still in its early form but hopefully still helpful, please let me know if you find any errors or wish to add a listing. Please also note all the web-links are live (just click to go to the appropriate site!).
Comments, suggestions welcome!
Please also distribute to all your Lancia owning friends!

Excellent piece of work, I like the map ;D
Is it possible that the webmasters can give this a space of its own ? I think we could also add as a sub-set those suppliers of more generic specialist services that are hard to find such as balancing, shotblasting, instrument restoration, machining etc that some of us will have used or want.

That is great and very handy to have on one sheet. Thanks very much. It should definately go on the main web site and also, I'd suggest, to Jack for inclusion in a future issue of VL!
-
I'm taking the Delta to get some work done at an Alfa/Fiat specialist in Birmingham called Motormech on Monday. I'll see how they go -they may turn out to be worth adding, especially for the post-Fiat takeover models.
-
Please note a new updated file has been added! Supplier ceased in Blackpool + new one added.

Chris, Motormech have a good reputation amongst Fiat enthusiasts especially those with Coupes. I called in there to get the cambelt checked on the Ypsi when I first got it. Have a look on the Fiat Forum website for some objective opinions on them.

That's a positive gesture, and to be welcomed.
-
Please note - I now have a standard download link (this will not change) this update has lots of additions and changes requested by the suppliers. To avoid confusion I will now only update the file on a monthly basis and as stated the link will not change just to try and keep things easy. I will post as and when an update is available and also when I have a 'specialist supplier' supplementary sheet sorted:

That's a positive gesture, and to be welcomed.
But if its a shared resource, it really should have the logos of both clubs on, if its going to have any logos at all. With just the CLS logo on, I'd suggest it just looks like a CLS resource that we have access to. Better still no logos at all.

If someone can send me a LMC logo (preferable in .AI or .EPS vector format) I would be happy to add it, further update below.

Good man! I knew naked sectarian lobbying was effective... ;)

Much better than sectarian lobbying, naked. :o

I had quite a disturbing vision of Ian Paisley when I read your comment Harvey. :o :-\ I fear that may stay with me and put me off my tea.

Hi Tim,
The funny thing is it worked fine on AOL with the first issue, the trouble has been with the subsequent updates ???
FF sent me a link that works ok, so I'm happy as well.

FulivaFiend who is no longer a member of LMC tells me has has revised the list see
www.lanciadealers.co.uk

Well, what a pity that FulviaFiend, who had more than 60 posts on this forum, and something positive to contribute, seems to be no longer a LMC member. Hopefully, someone who knows FF will have tried to find out why he (or she) chose not to renew so that we all might learn a bit more about what it takes to sustain membership. Surely this club needs all the members it can get, and if they come from the Fulvia era and earlier so much more crucial that they remain.
Colin

Hy Will, are you sure?

Hi Brian, Im with Mark at the moment, he says it should be ok, is aol stopping pop ups, cant think of any other reason.
-
Hi Peter,
Still no joy even with pop ups unblocked for Myzen.
I've just tried a direct link Mark gave me last time I had the problem and it works, but I can't tell if I'm seeing the list I see last time, or the up to date one ::)
Good day at Goodwood, Tony was clicking away like mad, I only took about 30 shots, a small sample of which is on the Goodwood Track Day Link.

Is that a recent move ? - I can see that it is looking at the original PDF
This is something that needs to go into the online database and then produce the "Specialist List" on a regular basis. It's already setup to do it - just needs me to enter the data ...
-
I'd suggest we do that. I know there has been long standing concern that by providing a list we offer some endorsement of the work done, and that therefore we may be drawn into dispute. However, I think so long as we make clear, as we do at the front of VL, that we cannot vouch for suppliers and 'caveat emptor' applies, I'd see no problem. If necessary, its something that, having been included in the Beta, could be discussed at committee. My view is that it is a service we could usefully provide, and for which there is always a call.

Many other Motor Clubs do it and "let the Buyer Beware" .

I'll put the data in, and produce a PDF of the supplier : you can supply the caveat :) ... actually I'll just lift it off VL! ...
I think it'll be good for the online database to just have an up to date list of suppliers and contact details. Integration with Google Maps would be good too ...

I am pleased to see that we are on it, but our phone number is wrong! We moved recently and the new numbers are 01392 811918 and (mobile) 07515 597589
It's probably my fault, as I haven't updated the clubs with the details (duh!) - they are correct on the website but I should have been more proactive about letting people know!
Cheers, and thanks for including me!

Alan, You're on the online database as an organisation (and also as a member). I've updated the organisation telephone numbers (as members aren't given write access to this).

Alan,
Lancia Dealer/repairers list has also been updated.

Thanks Steve - as I said, it was my incompetence at getting my contact details sorted when we moved that caused the trouble (I kidded myself that I could survive with a Skype number and no landline, but it was a nightmare!).
Cheers and thanks again

Also thanks to you Geoff - I appreciate your input as well. Hopefully I won't render myself completely uncontactable again in future, but you never know! :)

P.S. Love your signature!
-
Alan,
I think my email signature is better:
Oh, this email is for the intended recipient only, any divulgence will be met with extreme prejudice
if you tell anyone I'll deny it, I wasn't in the country at the time, I don't even have a computer and my
mobile phone is analogue and if I did sent it then I was probably very, very, drunk and I therefore
cannot be held responsible for any action or inaction undertaken on my behalf, so there.

My 2000HF Coupe needs some bodywork including rust around the windscreen. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced body workshop? I'm based in central London.

David, there is always our friendly Proietti - http://www.proietti.co.uk/ , just north of Kings Cross. They also do bodywork.

Hello,
I’ve just returned to Lancia ownership (2000HF) after nearly 40 years (1.3 Beta Coupé in the early 80s) - I need a bit of mechanical and interior work done - any recommendations in W. Sussex, Hants, or Surrey?
Many thanks
Martin
-
Evening all,
I've recently rejoined the fold with a series 2 Fulvia berlina and am located in south Somerset.
Can anyone recommend a good body shop in the area that won't charge the earth to take care of the front wings/arches and paintwork?
Thanks.
-
I think this has to be the poshest MOT centre I've ever been to, and it's local.
I've no doubt they could service and repair the old girl but not sure it would make economic sense.
-
WOW that’s a stunning workshop especially the Muira.
-
An original RHD car, of which there are maybe a dozen or less, belongs to 'a customer' :o
-
I have just had some clever work done on my Fiat Punto Grande by Proietti’s and I want to sing their praises - https://www.proietti.co.uk/car-accident-repair-london.htm . They specialise in Fiats but do great work on all things Italian. Other cars while I was there include a 2000HF, a really nice late Beta 2000 saloon, a Fulvia Coupe and lots of Alfas and Fiat 500s. It’s a long time since I have had work done on Lancias and I am encouraged to find a small specialist firm still in business in almost central London. Highly recommended, Colin
-
Hi all
Newbie here, having bought a 1974 Fulvia 3 Coupe 1.3 in April.
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a specialist in the Milton Keynes area. I have a local guy who works on a range of classics but a) he doesn't specialise in anything in particular and b) he can be a bit hit & miss with communication / timing.
I probably won't do much other than maintenance over the summer, but going forward will need some paintwork and general fettling of suspension, steering, brakes etc. Servicing etc I can do myself, but specialist skills like carb balancing I would farm out.
Any recommendations gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.
