Does anyone know where I can get a gear stick knob for my kappa Coupe? At the moment I am using an after market one, that does not fit properly, and does not look right.

Lancia 8)

Any FIAT Dealer should be able to get it for you.

Through my Lancia dealer connections in Germany, we tried to get one from Italy. They used to come as complete unit with gear lever and knob, price 270 euros. Unfortunately there are none available as of April 2012. I used to get parts for my Kappa SW from a Fiat dealer in Dundee, but they no longer have the parts list.

Hi Donald, I have had the same problem. The first one broke up some years back, the second one broke last year & when I ordered a replacement I was told no longer available but could buy a complete gearlever for £150. It is now glued together but looking rather tatty I'm afraid. I am having the same problem with hubcaps, they are rather fragile & I now only have one decent one left.

Hi Peter. Yes, it seems to be a design fault. A friend of mine in Germany found a kappa that was being broken up, but the gear knob was a plastic after market job. I have bid on ebay for a couple of lift up reverse type gear knobs. New ones are quite expensive, and no good if they don't fit. I was lucky to get two spare wheel centers with my car, but have had to fit them both already.

French eBay has a non original replacement in leather ..... or green, red, pink etc

Thanks for the link, but that is a standard after market job, which may or may not work. The genuine kappa Coupe gear knob has a cup which comes up with the lever, and into a brass ring, in the knob, where it meets a spring. It is very slick, and looks good, when it works. I have an after market thing on, at the moment, but it looks awful, and not good to handle. I had to do something, as the Kappa is my only car, and is in daily use. My new Delta was sold, about a year ago. I am hoping that the ones from ebay might work a bit better.

Mine got replaced with one out of a Fiat Coupe, has the lift up cup and everything, just missing the leather cover. Might be a bit diddly to have that stitched back on

That could be worth a try. Did you get it from a fiat dealer?

No, Auto Integrale service all my cars and they were breaking a Fiat at the time
