1979 Beta HPE - orange interior still looking good
« on: 05 October, 2018, 06:24:24 PM »
After the comments on teddy bear skin fabric and how fragile some period trim materials can be this one jumped out as "a survivor".  Then again it could look fine but touch it and it turns to dust...  I'd forgotten those steering wheels.  Not sure when I saw those road wheels either come to that.

"Will require lots of work" for sure, "structure seems ok", depends if you consider screen pillars to be structure.

Hi

Similar to the 2000HF thread, this will be a labour of love to get back on the road and well north of its value, though very few of them still around. The wheels apparently were standard on the S2 pre facelift 2 ltr HPE, I had one when (almost) new and it also had them. Really like the seats especially this orange colour and their shape.

Should these cars come with a dowry rather than the new custodian hand money over :)
