Bill Lewis.....some sad news
« on: 18 July, 2026, 07:50:47 PM »
The club received the following email about the recent passing of Bill Lewis.

May Bill rest in peace.

"Hello,

I am sorry to pass on the sad news that my grandfather, William (Bill) Lewis, passed away aged 95, after a short illness last Sunday, 12th July, at home. He was at home with family and passed peacefully.

I am not sure whether or not he was a member of your forum but I do know he was someone well known and respected in the community for his body panel work on Lancia cars amongst other classic vehicles. He was still busy in his workshop/garage up until 3 months ago.

There will be a private cremation for family; however, there will be a celebration of his life at some point in the near future at a venue in the Market Drayton/Cheswardine area, which will be arranged by his wife, Sue. I will share details once they are arranged in case anyone in the community would like to attend.

Warm regards,

Sam Fysh "

Sad news indeed - a delightful man, full of charm and with a wicked sense of humour

Not to mention his amazing metalworking skills - I shall miss him
