Delta Sun-Roof Problem.

I have just obtained a replacement handle for the one that is broken on my black 8v 'grale.However, installation of this looks impossible without removing the whole sliding panel which in turn requires removal of the whole roof lining assembly.
I would greatly appreciate any tips or guidance from anybody who may have been down this road. I suspect these manual sun-roofs were used in other applications as well as early Integrales.

don't have a sunroof but i have had the roof lining out on mine and it's not a bad job to do just a bit time consuming.
most of the screw plugs and fastners are still available from fiat so order new ones before you start as you will no doubt break the plastic screw plugs at the back.other than that just undo everything holding that panel up.( also gives you a chance to add a bit of protection to the inside roof metal when it's off.
when putting it back in you will either need two people to line it up or use loose cable ties to hold it in position while you put the fastners back in.
