Front suspension
« on: 09 July, 2025, 02:55:25 PM »
I am relatively new to the Appia, hence all the questions.
The front suspension is pretty smooth and no huge oil leaks but going over big bumps the front offside does make a clonk. The repair manual does mention that this could be caused by excess oil in the lower guide. How do I know whether the level is correct? I can see the little plug that is used for filling the lower guide but what is the procedure for doing that? The manual just states how to fill the oil during assembly. Do I just fill it up?
Also, would not enough oil in the top produce the same clonk? I feel the noise is definitely coming from the lower part of the pillar.
Thanks
