engine advice

i own a lancia prisma symbol which im planning to get back on the road by the end of october.
wat i would like todo is to fit an engine from a lancia delta hf.
is it possible to fit a delta engine into a prisma????

In principle, providing they are both post-86 cars, yes.  The engine block is the same, but I imagine the plumbing for the Turbo and issues like wiring may cause you some thought.  Likewise, you will need to think about uprating the brakes in particular (though this is pretty simple - the vented front discs and solid rear discs from a Turbo bolt straight on to replace what I'm assuming is a disc/drum set up on the Symbol).  Others will know considerably more than me, I imagine.

about 10 yrs ago a friend of mine bought a very rotton hf turbo ie and a very sound prisma symbol and did exactly what you plan, he just dropped the whole front ends and swapped them over and the engine loom, at the time i had an rs turbo ( i know i know those days are gone!!) and the prisma was far quicker!! it was a real street sleeper as most people didn't know what it was then, good luck and you won't be dissapointed

thanks for the advice. gettin excited now, now that i know it can done it must be tried :)
the prisma symbol comes with discs all round so hopefully putting vented discs on wont be too hard.
