Jim, the B20 arches came from David Ashworth - not sure if he does any Flaminia stuff

Nice detail that we found when prep'ing the bonnet recess - A pininfarina stamp hidden under the aluminium cover
Lovely to find that Simon.
I did look when I had the car painted in the early 1990s but couldn't find it....probably because I was looking in the wrong place on the other side of the bonnet catch hole!
Are you going to try to keep[ it visible once painted? I hope so.

Chris , we'll do our best !

The masking up took 7hrs ...... done by Dietlef who has an eye for detail - he sets his alarm for making tea , the teabag can only be in there for 3'45"exactly

He is very "German" and I say that in the nicest way ! He has a great sense of humour so we can tease him about it !

Confused of Hartlepool asks what colour will the car be again? the painted dash is not the same as the steering column or is it?

Dear "confused of Hartlepool" , the colour is the same , the problem is the harsh LED/fluorescent lighting ! You aren't the only one to ask ....

It has been difficult to share the real colour, but the dash photo probably best represents the actual colour - Blue Celeste

That is a nice colour. I was wondering about the replacement wheel arches as they are of the size and construction of the Flaminia and would need modification to fit.

So, we're in primer - a week in the sun , then a flat before paint !

Dalmatian effect was due to the etch primer on the bare bits before the primer

Quick update here ..... we have the bodywork painted !!

It's beautiful and the angst around the colour has been justified - next question is how quickly can I get her back on the road !

Final photo with the "maestro" , Dog !

Divine Simon, any colour suits an Aurelia, but particularly smart in that colour.

I'd say you're talking weeks ....not months!!!

Is that a Nardi plaque on the box in the middle of the firewall? I know they did steering wheels, floor shifts and induction gear but can't work out what they made that would be located there.
