Thanks Geoff (and for your help with Amaranto). The Avorio does't photograph well - I did several pictures with my iPhone (othe phones/cameras are available ....) in different places/light conditions and it looks v different

Still not sure if this gives a better idea

The pastels were divine, yes this is a lovely choice.

I'd gotten my Amaranto code/tints ratio from Thornley Kelham, they were very helpful

I really like all the colours that "Azzurro Celeste" presents as in your photos.  On the internet between cameras and screens you can think you've seen two different cars sometimes...

Is that the colour Peter Harding had or was his a metallic?

I sometimes wondered if "our" B20 (with the Kennedy's now in 100pct not a Ford colour - absolutely an Italian "corsa") was originally a dark/mid blue with a lot of metalflake in it, almost a beach buggy type glitter.  Then again that might have been a the end of a rattle can mid 1970s over a repair.

I think the 3rd series that was auctioned two years ago in the Palmen Collection in Holland was Avorio.  I found it a very nice colour, and had an eye on the car.  It went however less engine and transaxle, and in a very poor, rusty condition, for a staggering 54.000 euros; which was including taxes and expenses 63.000 Euro, a bit too much for me...
That said, the blue celeste is also a very good colour!

Is there any formulations known for 4th series black?

How about an update? But i would think the health of the Carignan and Merlot vines a bit more urgent at the moment with the heatwave going on down there
Look forward to resumption of service, Much better than watching TV.

Thanks, there is a slightly frustrating wait for the paint at the moment ! Dog has been v busy with other "regular" jobs so my B20 has been pushed back a bit ..... we are in discussions !

Hopefully we will see progress v soon, but it has meant that I have managed to get up to date on quite a few other jobs including upgrades on the garage and tidying and organising so when I get the B20 back I can crack on with it

Vendanges (harvest) just about to start and looking good despite the heat

The problem we have these days with our 'vendemmia' in the Veneto is the increasing (year by year) incidence of localised hailstorms in August.
The hailstones can be as big as your fist ( so cars occasionally get written off and lots of front & rear windscreens get broken) but even small hailstones can ruin our Pinello grapes due to their fragile skins.
Oh, the life of a farmer!!

I had heard that there was un "Anglais" for the meeting, it will be great to catch up ! Because it is close by, I thought that I may do day 1 with the Fulvia and day 2 with the Cabrio and then day 3 with .... everything ! We are opening up the winery for a visit

You never know the B20 may even be dragged out !!

PS apparently 37 cars for the rally

Peter's S3 was a metallic blue, which I loved and thought was close to the original colour of my Flavia Vignale, so I asked him for the colour reference... it was an 1980s Mercedes colour, Diamond Blue.

It's been on my Flavia for 15 years now and I still love it!

Dog has found some time to get stuck into the B20 so I got the flatted-down dash back and have put it together ready for refitting - the body is being flatted and may go into final primer next week - I always was an optimist .....

Couple of photos of the numbers that appear all over B20s - the stamped 193 is what Paul Mayo refers to as the Pininfarina number and the other number seems to be on interior parts

You can see why Lancia went bust, the quality of the ash try is impressive - all chromed , even the frame and cigarette-stubbing-tray, plus finely engraved facade etc

There are about 20 parts in all .... and there are 2 ashtrays on the dash - Madness !

Hi Simon
Out of interest where did you get the wheel arch repair panels from? They might 'come in' when/if I get round to the Flaminia bodywork.

Jim, the B20 arches came from David Ashworth - not sure if he does any Flaminia stuff

Nice detail that we found when prep'ing the bonnet recess - A pininfarina stamp hidden under the aluminium cover

Dog has definitely got the "bit between his teeth" (and some money in his pocket !!!) , so really coming on.

Getting excited - final flatt'ing done, masking up today and then possibly primer today/tomorrow ......
