yes but it drains back through the engine - hence the long pipe - see Fulvia.
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

Hi everyone, here is the reply from the manufacturer

"Regarding your question: the filter we ship with the bracket is already equipped with a non-draining valve, so there's no need for a very long central bracket duct."

Having had a discussion with another friend/mechanic, he feels that with a non return valve in the filter, it should present no problems. And Tim, thanks for raising this so we were able to seek clarity and re-assurance

However, should anyone want to change their mind following this discussion, please let me know asap

Thanks

I'm happy to proceed. I've looked at the oil pathway and I'm happy enough. There are many filter configurations with multiple check valves if required.

Oil pressure gauge will indicate immediately if filter has emptied, surely? This is always the very first gauge I look at when I start the engine on a older car.

Getting back to you all about this one .....

I now have 10 confirmed requests and can go ahead and order them. I plan to come back to the UK for Christmas, so they will come with me and be posted from the UK

I'll be in touch with everybody (I think that I have all your emails) and ask for a deposit , then the balance will be once I have UK postage and you have received them

Last point is that there are 2 sizes, please can you check yours - although I have just measured 8 and they are all the larger size 25mm'ish

Please look at the photos below which show both sizes. If you have to remove them, take care, the mazak ones can be brittle. Mine has been damaged over the years !

Unfortunately I don't have everybody's emails , so have sent a message asking for them. I will then need all your addresses as well, but I'll send out a form as soon as I have everybody's contact details

Thanks
