Lancia dedra turbo K378NUY
« on: 24 November, 2025, 02:04:54 PM »
Hello

I previously posted this but have now been pointed in the right direction
As posted in the wrong section.

I’m new to the Lancia owners club/forum.
Having previously seen a post on here regarding a Lancia Dedra turbo K378NUY which I had seen on Mathewson website after a accurate description from derek and lots of homework done I decided to Bid on the car and was luckily the new owner having now took delivery I am very happy with my purchase. The car is a credit to its previous owners.

Kevin.

Hi Kevin.
Glad you've found the forum and have taken well to the car.
It really looks well and so much better for being out and used rather than sat in a shed.
I know I have some old pictures of the car for when I had it before I sold it to Jim, we both rated it highly and as everyone who has owned them will say, they are greatly under appreciated outside of Lancia circles but those of us that have had or still have one fully value them for what they are, a distinctive stylish and well appointed car especially when compared to contemporary cars of the era.
Plus having the same base engine as the Delta integrale 8V and the LSD give it a great turn of speed.
I have been lucky enough to own both a Dedra turbo and a Delta integrale at the same time so comparing both was easy, and some may be surprised to hear that the Dedra is the better car in pretty much every way, the Delta only wins in outright grip and handling (a road-going rally car after all) and for the dramatic, theatrical looks. The Dedra though is quieter, more comfortable, more subtle yet still sporty looking, more well appointed and more roomy.
If this is indeed your first Lancia then well done on making a great choice, it probably won't be your last!
Hope to see you and the car at the national meet next year?  8)

And I will say it is well worth joining the Dedra/Thema consortium as they hold loads of used parts and have very knowledgable people should you need advice on anything, plus they are great people which kind of goes with the territory!

Hi Kevin

Totally agree with your comments everyone who has been to see the car is very impressed
With the level of equipment inside and overall build quality.
I’m busy going through the car to see what parts are required. I’ve removed the blower fan as it was very noisy the blades had broken away but a new unit was only £50. I’m very impressed with
The condition of the car both mechanical and structural. thanks for your advice. I’m going to join the consortium as have a felling I will need lots of advice😁I haven’t driven the car yet but sounds great.it would be nice to see some of the old photos of the car.
Hopefully will get to a meet sometime next year hopefully see you there 😎
