Aprilia trim - Early S1
« on: 03 December, 2025, 01:34:15 PM »
I will need to reupholster some of the interior of the new S1 Aprilia and was wondering if anyone has done one recently and where did you get your cloth ?

I usually use Erreffe in Italy but they don(t appear to have anything like this, plus I suspect that the car was upholstered in the UK by Lancia Alperton, so probably UK sourced cloth anyway

Here's a photo - does anyone know of anything remotely similar ?

Thanks

Simon, I can't help with the cloth fabric, but I am intrigued by the letter. I live in Hornsey/ Muswell Hill and was around this area with my Aprilia in the 1960s. Who was the previous owner? EGH ... is a familiar registration, but I think it was common to a number of Aprilias. It looks like a really good worthwhile project. I wish you well with it. Colin

I akways thought Alperton-supplied early Aprilias were trimmed in leather?  Certainly mine was. (1937)

You're right , many of the Alperton cars had leather. This looks to be the original cloth though - no additional nail holes in the frames for example
