Astura in France
« on: 18 February, 2026, 04:38:02 PM »
Coming up for auction form an auction house not well known for selling classic cars

If it  goes  within estimate could be a bargain

An Astura convertible for E8000 even with a slightly ungainly body would be incredible value in my opinion.

But is it an Astura? The description says Series 3 Dilambda, which seems more likely from the body style but no engine bay photos are provided... whatever, it's exciting news that a gun rack was a 'particularités que le constructeur offrait à ses acheteurs' - optional extra!

Advert says it's a 233 model, which per Lancia sheets is a 1935 Astura. However, the advert also says engine is a 24º V angle, which is Dilambda, with the Astura at 19º or 17º30'. Of course, we don't know if what is listed is accurate... A shot of the engine would be nice, at a minimum....

100% astura, smaller brakes and hubs, no brace from sliding pillar too the rad shell , would be amazed if it sells for that

Could it be an Artena?  Not sure how to spot the difference, but there is a similar looking artena here in Belgium.

I asked the auction house for engine pictures, they promised me to supply some the day before the auction...
I might be tempted, stupid as I am....

Oh please, go for it.

I'd be next to you, but I've already committed enough silly acts for the near future...

Thanks for the engine picture!  It looks very original and complete.  Do you know more about this car Don?  Wonder who did the body...
