Wiper park
« on: 03 May, 2026, 01:08:06 PM »
Today's challenge is the wiper parking. With the wiper motor off, if I then fit the blades in the correct parked orientation and switch on, the wiper motor tries to make a sweep to towards the nearside and runs out of screen. As I'm typing this it suddenly occured to me it might be possible to inadvertently set the linkage 180 degrees out. Any thoughts?

Hi

Not familiar wit the Fulvia mech, but suggest you connect the motor without attaching to the wiper mechanism and let it reach the parked position, then attach to the wiper mech.

All sorted now, thanks Peter. We're now on schedule to be on the road week this after a five year lay off!
