New Fulvia Book
« on: 21 July, 2026, 09:23:35 AM »
Dear UK Lancia Community,

Our three Fulvia Owners Notes (1: Electrical Systems, 2: Restoration and Repair and 3: Maintenance and Tuning) are still available online.  However Norm and I have now combined them into a 250-page, full-colour, A4 book and printed copies are available for purchase.

The print edition is based on the 2026 versions of each Note.  Although a printed book was produced principally so that we could put a copy on our own bookshelves, we are very pleased with the result and find the combined A4 text is easier to read, cross reference and also to use in the workshop.  Unlike a phone, we guarantee that the book will not go blank every 20 seconds.

Copies were on display at the LMC AGM at Crewe Hall and our first print run of 24 copies have now been taken.  If you would like further information, or to to reserve a copy from the second print run in the autumn, please contact Norm Thomas or Glyn Williams by email.

The books will be sold at the same price as the first run: £27.00 + £3.65 (UK P&P).  Any profits will be donated to the charity supported by the online Notes, the Cameron Grant Memorial Trust.

Best wishes,

Glyn Williams (GlyntheNMR@gmail.com) and Norm Thomas (normthomas292@gmail.com)

Well I got my copy hand delivered by Norm yesterday who came to see progress with the Beta restoration and the Stratos replica in the garage.

I've had a very quick scan through it and will enjoy a more thorough read in the coming (darker) months. It really does look like an excellent guide to Fulvia ownership (maybe one for the future for me, I love the Zagato!).

The only mistake I've spotted is the sales technique! Buy one for reference and one to get oily in the garage where it's going to be most useful.

Thanks Norm & Glyn!

Hi Guy,

Thanks for your recommendation of our Fulvia Owners Notes.  If you later find any glaring errors or omissions, let us know and we will try to incorporate them into the 'Owners Notes: Additions and Corrections' document that we are currently working on.  When that is finished, we will send it out via email to all purchasers of the book.

We are now collecting orders for a final print run, which will be placed with the publishers in December 2026, with books being delivered to purchasers in the New Year.  After that Norm and I intend to take a break from bookselling (in truth we are not great salesmen, but have become pretty good at packing and shipping!), and focus on driving our Fulvias for a while.

Please continue to spread the word on our behalf!  Any owners who wish to purchase a copy for the first time (or to pick up a second copy for the garage), should contact us by email before December:

glynthenmr@gmail.com or normthomas292@gmail.com

In the meantime, copies of the three individual sections of the Notes can still be downloaded and printed, to avoid getting oily fingers on your book.  Details of the downloads are attached.

Thanks again, and to all who have purchased copies.  We can report that our sales are now in three figures and we have passed over £500 profit to the Cameron Grant Memorial Trust (https://www.camgrant.org.uk/) - a great result.

Have you notified all the Fulvia social media of the last chance??

Hi Tim,

I am intending to pass the message on to the (relatively few) Fulvia Forums and Norm is our representative on Facebook, but word-of-mouth (and a note in Viva Lancia) would help.

If you, or other readers, would pass the information on to their contacts, that would help us too.  We have now delivered copies to all 4 points of the compass - from Sweden to Australia and Barbados to Singapore - so we are familiar with the paperwork of many Customs and no destination is too far (though some may be too challenging)!

Cheers,

Glyn
