Flavia suspension upgrade
« on: 11 August, 2026, 02:42:58 PM »
I am upgrading my 1965 Coupe to the later Fulvia setup as recommended.
I have the required parts: don't suppose anyone has a step-by-step guide maybe?  Please?  Pretty please?

I recently did mine, not that bad a job if it's all off the car, if it's all still on the car then pressing the bushes into the alloy uprights won't be easy. I was able to get it all in the bearing press to get the Fulvia type bushes pressed in with control. There's a picture or two on my rebiild thread, 2nd to las page, updates are slow (me!) at the moment.
The original Flavia ones were a bit of an oddity, some metal top hat sleeves and rubber bushes with some plastic non available centre piece, just cut the old lot out with a hacksaw (put the blade intothe hole then reattach to the hacksaw so you're cutting internally) and you'll get al the old out. It's then a more usual 1 piece bush that presses in, job done.
