2000 berlina for sale
« on: 11 September, 2026, 08:33:10 AM »
2000 berlina for sale in Mathewson's September auction. A very solid and useable car which has just been driven the 200 miles to the auction from its home in Oxfordshire with no issues. It is offered with a come and buy me estimate of £2 - 3k. A well known car within the Consortium and a regular attendee at many Consortium and LMC AGMS etc. https://www.mathewsons.co.uk/auction/lot/lot-596---1972-lancia-2000-sedan/?lot=59925&so=0&st=lancia%202000&sto=0&au=129&ef=&et=&ic=False&sd=0&pp=96&pn=1&g=1

I posted this ad yesterday. Been watching it since it was listed and it's definitely a come buy me guide. pulled me in. It's not on my list of cars I want to add to my garage but at that guide it may well end up sat next o my HPE.  I've bid today.

A question I asked that I am looking for the answer to is whats not right with the engine as the seller has eluded to.?

What is 'not right' actually only means there are some non-original parts such as a more modern carburettor (FIAT 132) and hence modified airbox to suit plus some other modern upgrades to make it a more useable / reliable car.

Many thanks for the info. I wasn't bothered if it had completely wrong engine or anything else. I am not a purists and believe people should do as suits them with their classic car especially if it aids use.

Very happy memories of my dark green 2000 TEW 118L which was my working car for many years. Probably the most comfortable car I have ever had. At one time the most expensive car to run as carb problems made 12 MPG the best I could get. Did sort. If I hadn't downsized I would have been tempted!!
