Beta Coupe Keys
« on: 26 November, 2009, 07:26:39 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get some new keys cut?? My ignition key has never had a fob which I can cope with, but the big blob of epoxy passing as a fob for my door/boot key has finally given up the ghost. As some may know the 'shaft' of the key alone does not deliver sufficient torque to work the locks.

Any suggestions welcom.  :'(

There is a locksmith in Chelmsford called Coopers who is excellent - Chris is the man to speak to. His Father "invented" a machine to do these keys when they first came out. His number is 01245 251399. I am sure he will do mail order if you call him. He closes one afternoon per week.

Neil,

There is a specialised, computerised key cutting machine which good locksmiths use to cut these Beta boot / door keys, AND compensate to cut the new key to 'as new' specs.

I have some of these new Beta key blanks (not for sale I'm afraid), but can get you some part numbers if you like?
