Appia prop shaft balance
« on: 26 August, 2010, 12:52:40 PM »
I have changed the prop shaft on my series one and now have a vibration. Although fitting a hose clip towards the rear seems to help what should I really be doing?

Take the shaft to "Vibration Free" in Bicester. They did mine for very little cost and it made a great improvement.

I second that, John. They made me a complete new prop shaft for the Dilambda which cured the vibration at very reasonable cost.

I have now sorted the problem. I found two of the three rear retaining bolts loose, guess I should have checked it myself at the time instead of trusting an expert. Many thanks for advice, very useful to know.
