B10 rear shock absorbers
« on: 17 May, 2025, 10:50:37 AM »
I have owned my B10 for 44 years and today I was recommissioning it after its 8 months under tarpaulin during house move. I need to get it fit for SPR in 2 weeks!! I thought to check the shock absorbers and so checked handbook to see what I should use and it is 70% Veedol 20 and 30% shock absorber light. Now I have never used this, and I suspect I have just used SAE30. They do leak a lot so:
a) What should I use?
b) Can I go thicker to try to reduce loss?

I have waded through Forum lists but cannot find any mention of this topic.

Help please.   Brian

Hi Brian,

On my B10 I used Penrite Shocker Oil (Millers also make one). It seemed good to me from the start and continues to be.

Lot's of online suppliers can mail you some in a day or two. e.g.
