Blank keys
« on: 30 July, 2025, 06:59:51 PM »
Unfortunately my cars original Lancia keys were lost several owners ago, just wondering if anyone is aware of a source or even still has blank copies that they would be prepared to sell?
Im really hoping to replace my modern keys with the original black and white moulded branded originals or even aftermarket copies.
Hope someone might be able to help, thanks....

I see there has been no online reply to your query, as yet. I had a set of black and white keys with the original Lancia logo cut for me by Florian Krenn. They came at a price but I was very pleased with them and the delivery was timely.

If you're still looking, his contact is krenn@ipu.co.at

Be careful to match the blanks as Lancia did various blanks with blank and white heads through the Flavia/Fulvia days
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?
Lancias:
1955 Aurelia B12
1967 Fulvia 1.3HFR
1972 Fulvia 1600HF
1972 Fulvia Sport 1600
1983 HPE VX
1988 Delta 1.6GTie
1998 Zeta 21.  12v

I'd sent off an Aurelia glovebox lock to these guys. Had no key and it was locked. The lock itself is made out of that fragile, now aged mazak or diecast metal(?), which he disassembled , unlocked, repaired then cut a new key, delighted with service, very patient and knowledgeable.

Was there a code to the black and white keys. Something like black for the ignition and white for the doors?

Depending on the model it was one way or trhe other and the blanks were different too.

I think it depends on the model as well. For the Flavia 2000 coupe, White was for the glove box, boot and fuel filler and the black was for the doors and ignition/wheel lock. For the later 2000 coupe, the black was for the ignition/wheel lock and the white was for the doors, glove box boot and fuel filler.

Italian negozi di ferramenta (hardware stores) generally sell blank all metal 9 i.e not white or black covered plastic) keys of the correct profile for 50's & 60's Italian cars for around €5.
