Kappa dampers - again

Ok, one for the technically gifted and opiniated. When should the dampers be changed.....age, mileage or when they start leaking?

Any ideas?

Slight weeping is usually OK. Normal practice used to be bounce the corner of the car and release
the car should bounce/rebound 1.5 times and come to rest (old and basic but used to work) also
depends on how you use the car, if the car seems to wallow after going over a bump then they're
probably worn out.
best I can do I'm afraid.

of course I was very very drunk

Is leaking not always an automatic MOT failure? It sounds like a fair indication they need changing if this happens in any case.

It's normally a difference between slightly damp and wet
