These seats reminded me of those in an Augusta Cabriolet, and a Routemaster bus.  It made me wonder how many others had that style and how long it was in fashion.

They look rather utilitarian for such an elegant body. It makes me wonder if it was originally a staff car or a taxi or similar.

As you say Frank, it is such an elegant body. The seats don't look in too bad condition.

As for you David, this is the first time I have come across a link between a Routemaster and an Augusta!!!!

It does look an interesting vehicle and I love the use of a single stud to secure the front end of both the inlet and exhaust manifolds!!!

On a 'wheeler dealers' recently they pulled a VW Bug apart to build a buggy.  I rather liked how a bent wire clipped over the rocker cover.  How many bolts to get to Fulvia or Aprilia valve gear?

Those seats also remind me of the early Traction Avants except they had a striped material.
