Had a full day at the stores and managed to get a good few boxes of spares and shelving moved.

In between fixing Y10s I had a good weekend moving stuff to the bigger unit... the pictures of the old unit show how the gaps are getting bigger and I was pleased to move a couple of the bigger shelving units as this has given a lot more 'elbow room'.
It is new shed week at sunny Redcar so might not get much done but I am pleased with progress so far

Had a window of opportunity and managed a little bit more removals. the pictures now show the free space we have so it will just be a direct carry in and put on the shelves. I will try and build up a frame on the 1st floor level to hold the body panels especially the doors as they are heavy.

Shed is all done and beat the bad weather over the weekend...can see the end of the tunnel (I think) and I have moved all  or nearly all the easy, light but bulky stuff. This means all the bonnets, boot lids, seats, grills and bits of trim are out of the way and just the ugly, dirty and recalcitrant stuff is left . So a big hand for all those gearboxes (yes we have 15 at least), the back axles (only one and a half really), front suspensions (absolute pigs to move!), a couple of very forlorn engines, at least 6 radiators, crankcases another slack half dozen, rocker covers (ten million) as well as all the boxes containing the heavy (relatively) engine and transmission parts.

Today I broke the resistance of the stuff in the old unit and had a good clear out...still got the doors and gearboxes but at least I can get to them now and we still have plenty of space on the shelves in the new unit.

Down to the nitty gritty of those gearboxes and axles plus I found about 10 engine blocks hiding under a table...moved about 8 gearboxes and will have another go over the weekend. The main issue will be the doors as I want them all upstairs not too bad when they are S1 aluminium ones but the later S3 steel ones are heavy especially with the glass still in. Have been musing over rigging up a block and tackle to get them up in pairs or threes to save my hernia!
