You know the feeling when you finally bond with a car and it all feels natural and second nature? Well that happened today, properly, on the return trip from Vintage Bentley down in Liss in East Hampshire, the world's premier W.O. Bentley motor car restorers. I volunteer with them, helping put in this very significant thing: https://vintagebentley.com/sustainability
Anyway, here are a couple of photos of the Little Lancia outside the showroom of its Big British Cousins!
Taken some three hours before a pheasant, poor thing, christened the front valence not 10 miles from home. Sigh. Thankfully, killed it outright. Cracked the valence paint, but it did its job because in fact the wire mesh grille extends the whole length and breadth of the valance behind it. No way those radiator vanes would have stopped a heavy bird like that: On in, to the radiator. Added bonus, no need to pull a half dead pheasant out of a hole!
Next stop, the Classic Motor Hub tomorrow for their VSCC 'lunchtime natter'. I'll be bringing someone with me, tomorrow... :-)
Shall post photos if I remember to take 'em! Well, Mike Wheeler and I were going to take her to the Classic Motor Hub yesterday for a VSCC lunchtime thing. But got to his place and we both decided it was just going to be too cold. So we sat and talked instead! So that's it now, until next year. But this week shall live long in the memory.
